Glaciers on Mars

It looks as though researchers have found mid-latitude buried sheets of ice on Mars.  Future probes sent to Mars would likely have to dig a couple of meters down to reach them.

The list of potential landing sites for NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory has been whittled down to four candidates.  MSL should launch next fall.
