Day with friends

I haven’t played much hockey (inline) for a while - I obviously didn’t play while vacationing in Mexico, my team got knocked out of our league playoffs the next week, then I went to New Orleans for a conference, then this past week’s games got canceled due to the snow. So I got my buddy to go practice with me today. I enjoyed skating around and chatting.  I also play better when I get some rink time outside of the games.

After that, I went to a belated b-day dinner with more friends. To share in my recent experiences in New Orleans, we went to the closest thing Colorado can probably get to southern seafood cooking. We enjoyed hurricanes, oysters, shrimp, mahi and lobster. Then back to my friends’ house for cake, presents and wine. All in all, a damn good day!
